spacenamespace
This site is about annotating space with metadata; about building semantic models of places; about exchanging geospatial data in RDF.
mudlondon
mudlondon was the original semweb-spatial software here; a text-adventure model of London in an instant message bot. Wandering round the model, the user could build extensions to it and annotate it.
Sadly it is not currently running on Jabber due to a bad case of bitrot. Rebuilding it is a long-held dream.
grout
Grout is a more recent venture; a net API for geoannotation; the successor to mudlondon's brain. Part of a series of attempts to extend RDF storage with a spatial index and a nice front end.
vocabularies
- The spacenamespace ontology
- Various other spatial ontologies to be found on the net
- Notes towards a map ontology (as opposed to a purely spatial one)
- Other vocabularies - FOAF, Dublin Core, wireless networks
accessories
Some talks about these topics given at conferences and lectures, the most recent being semantic City at the AA school
The London Free Map which is being constructed with an RDF-friendly approach.
Wireless London, where hopefully some of the next steps for all this can be put into practise.
Mapping Hacks, a book which contains more information on building spatial applications with RDF, and on mapping wireless networks.
